Moon and clouds

and some lens flare. Looks like a good clear night in prospect, maybe time to get the telescope out. I see stars beginning to shine. So after taking this, duck inside for a minute, half wonder if I should get the scope out to cool down.

No - first a quick look with binoculars in the region of the supernova. Lens caps off, wander outside - its completely overcast! Wall to wall cloud. I sulk back inside, listen to a bit of last night of the proms, and then the rain comes.
Good decision on not taking the telescope out!
