Tabadoul Orchestra

Cologne Music Night has over a hundred 45 minute concerts at 25 locations in Cologne, on one night. You buy one ticket and dash between as many as you fancy. It starts at 6 and the last one is at 01:00 so technically the most you could see without leaving in the middle of something would be 8 concerts.

We weren't that ambitious but we did manage four. Music by Vivaldi and Fiocco on Cembalo and Baroque Cello - Indian Raga and Folk Music on Bansuri, Tabla and Tanpura - a capella songs from 1500 to 1960 by a group of 7 singers - and lastly the very excellent Tabadoul Orchestra (basically members of the Schäl Sick Brass Band plus guests), who played some exciting arabic jazz.

Pictured are Nina Leonards (violin) and Annette Maye (clarinet).
