the meeting house

This is the place where we met to celebrate my uncle life. He died on July 27th and today was his memorial service. In the Quaker religion, which is the religion he practiced you sit in silence until you feel moved to say something. It was very beautiful to hear all the stories people had shared about time spent with him. He had really touched a lot of peoples lives. He will be missed but so remembered. His son's words..."He lived a good full life and that's really all you could ask for".

Also remembered on this day are all the people who lost their lives ten years ago when our country was attacked on 9/11/01...a very sad day.
