Our Great Facination

I wonder sometimes just how facinated we would be in the stars, planets, and space in general if we had never had such a beautiful cousin so close to us that we could gaze upon.

With all the things that we attribute to her, and some most rightfully so, would we be nearly as interested in what is out there if we were not able to reach out and touch her? Be it in our minds, hearts or for the special few physically embrace her beauty, she is a wonder to behold.

What a spectacle it must be to be there and gaze back across the black ocean of space and see home.
