No Birds Today

The birds are all sheltering in the trees and hedges today from the wild winds and lashing rain. I did see a wee sparrow trying to venture out to the feeder station but it wasn't strong eough to fight the wind so I asked John to put a dish of seeds under the hedge for them. Just hope no cats come into the garden as quite a few of the wee birds came down for some food.

It's on days like this that I am happy to have to stay indoors, so it could be worse I could be ill and not able to go out in fine weather. Think I might have to visit the doctor tomorow if this throat and sore ears get any worse.

On the positive front we have now completed all our bokings for flights, hotels and airport parking for our trip to Liechstenstein and Switzerland. Got help from the Tartan Army re booking tickets for the game. It's hard to believe we have supported our national team since we were students in the 60's and never been ble to go to a game abroad. ( yet another good reason to be retired ) . Anyway delighted to be able to combine the game with a holiday in the Swiss mountains followed by 3 days in Zurich.

Tonight a cheerful rose from a bunch of flowers from John to cheer me up.

Keep safe and hope the hurricane doesn't do too much damage.
