Waterfoot Sunrise

Turbulent Tide

Being on the east coast of Kintyre we probably missed the worst of today's westerly gale, although we were pounded by heavy seas and had a very high tide.
We are fortunate that the estuary of Carradale Water provides an excellent natural anchorage that is well protected from rough seas. Today's blip shows how 3 or 4 foot waves are reduced to no more than turbulent water as they enter the estuary on a very high tide.
Hope fellow blippers also managed to avoid the extremes of the weather.
