Grand Canyon / I need a hero

Today was one of the best days of my life.

Day 3 in Vegas and we had an early start.

We got a lift to the airstrip where we were greeted by our pilot. We flew over Las Vegas, Boulder City, Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, then landed at the Hualapai Indian Nation Airport.

We then got a helicopter over the Grand Canyon down to the Colorado River for a boat ride.

After returning to the top of the canyon we did the Skywalk. To Emma's horror I lay face down on the glass to get an even better view.

We spent a fair bit of time thinking we were in the Bonnie Tyler video waiting for some cowboys to appear. In fact we got so carried away with the scenery that we missed our slot for the return flight. Oops!

What an amazing day. Even though I got wrong for being too close to the edge!
