New Forest Ponies

Another lovely sunny day today so we headed off to Lyndhurst, then Lymington, which is part of the New Forest. But before that had to pop over to Brenda's Luxury Barn conversion to get showered. No hardship there, it's like something our of Home and Garden:-) (Still no gas this morning)

We parked up just off Lymington High Street and wanted to head for the water. We weren't sure of the way so I spotted an elderly lady pushing a trolley. Excuse me I said to her, 3 times before she heard as she was a wee bit deaf. Where is the harbour I asked? Down the hill, but it's a quite a way. So off we set, and walked a circular route ending back to where we started . . . . What I did see though were streets and streets of houses with drives, large residences with mature trees surrounding them. I see prosperity in such a large scale down in this part of the world, far more than in Scotland, apart from certain areas in our larger towns and little pockets of certain areas in the countryside. It's so busy too, but enjoyed the relative peace of the New Forest.

Here is one of the pretty ponies that roam freely around the area, even free to roam in the villages and towns. Maybe that's why the rose beds looked so colourful!!

When we arrived there was an envelope waiting for us in our kitchen with a bag full of home made scones. Inside the envelope was a couple of notes by way of a refund for the lack of gas these past 3 days. That was so nice of Brenda. Gas is back on!

Internet connection is very dodgy and this has taken ages to upload. Shattered tonight and plan to be in bed by 8.30!!
