The path to Enlightenment

I had to visit the Peace Pagoda after a day of driving around Milton Keynes and listening to Sat Nav Suzie repeat a hundred times "at the next roundabout go straight across, second left".

This was the first Peace Pagoda to be built in the western hemisphere so, despite the fact I took dozens of photos of people scurrying through underpasses again, I thought I'd make it my blip as I may never see another one. It was built as a sanctuary and to further humanity's quest and prayer that the world may be saved from nuclear annihilation. There are a thousand cherry trees and cedars planted in the grounds in remembrance of war victims. It's fair to say it's quite a contrast to the rest of Milton Keynes.
