Oxfam Merchant City Bookshop

This is our latest shop in Glasgow. It's been open a while but it's the first time I've got round to visiting it. It's very stylish with posh wallpaper and just opposite the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square. As well as the lovely books donated by very generous people, it has fantastic stationery and some special postcards of Glasgow which came from a photography competition.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned my stationery obsession. If only I had something to write on it!

It's obviously a bit of a plug, but I've been thinking about bookshops since Booky Goatherd made interesting comments about commercialised book shopping, if you can call it that. And dollydoug reminding me of the bookshops of my youth! I mostly buy books from charity shops now...
