Kefalonia Day 14

Well the last day of our stay here on Kefalonia has finally arrived.
I've used the photosynth app on my iphone to try and give you an idea of the view we've enjoyed for the last two weeks from our apartment's balcony, perched here above the beach in Lourdas.
Behind us is the towering Mount Enos, in the distance to our front is the Island of Zakynthos, surrounded by the crystal clear Ionian Sea.
The days have been very hot, while the the evenings have been absolutely perfect, T shirt / shirt and shorts, sitting, chatting, eating, drinking until the small hours, whatching the stars and the moon move across the sky, all looking like some scene from a science fiction spectacular.
The staff here have been warm, friendly and sincere.
The Island itself is simply stunning, with enough roads, lanes and tracks to explore that you can poodle along for hours without seeing another car or person.
While the villages like Assos and Fiskardo, with their picture postcard harbour's attract the tourists in their hundreds, Bev and i take to the lanes and tracks in the jeep, with the covers off, windows down, listening to the birds and animals as we pass, feeling the breeze on our skin, looking forward to the next bend which nearly always seems to have another spectacular view to take our breath away.
Before Bev and i came away to Kefalonia we made a to-do list.
The only thing we didn't manage to do is get some photo's of the huge raptors that sail serenely along the fronts of the hill and mountains looking for their next meals.
Hopefully next holiday....
Thank you Kefalonia, for a truly wonderful holiday, not forgetting Bev my wonderful wife xxx
Thanks to everyone who took the time to view and comment on my blips, much appreciated.
