Paisley Abbey

- Backblip -

Queuing at Paisley Abbey for an Evening with Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain. Part of their Twenty Fifth Anniversary tour.

A sell out, the place was packed. Great acoustic and lighting effects. An evening of pure enjoyment to hear these masters of fiddle and accordion. The highlight for me was Aly Bain playing an American piece on a violin tuned in a different way. Lots of fast double stopping. The audience applauded and cheered in appreciation.

They finished with one of their all time favourites - Sarah's Song. (It takes about 15 seconds for the music to begin in this link.)
