Lochcarron

This is one of the most beautiful places that I seen.
First impressions of our hotel in Kyle of Lochalsh weren't too good... we were pleasantly surprised.
The food was good, staff friendly and our waiter was an absolute hoot, accommodation good but not as good as the Columba in Inverness the night before- same company and star rating !
Himself was a little more than worried by what was on offer at the bar... Only electric pumped stuff -mcewans etc, no ale for him. The day was saved by the local Co-op with a goodly stock of real ales.
I made excellent headway in combatting my irrational fear of high things and big bridges and managed to walk across the first of the two bridges to Skye... chuffed didn't come into it!
Today's journey back to Inverness was fab - clean windows this time- we spied quite a lot of red deer and four bigger birds... not golden ones tho'
We are sat waiting for the train to set off to take us back to Edinburg where we will stay in hotel number three. Hopefully, this evening, we will have a wander around and find a couple of nice old pubs...!
Suggestions welcome -pref central- as we are there until 3.30pm tomorrow.

Hope you are having a fab weekend too.
