Nice surprise

Mrs Dailykeith made a lovely discovery today - a whole batch of photos taken by our eldest son in about 1994, when he was only about eight or nine years old.

I've never seen them before, so it was a real joy to see pictures of our other children when they still quite little, plus holidays that had become a distant memory.

It was also nice to see Mrs DK and my dad in some of the pictures and a slimmer, fitter yours truly.

Everyone looked so happy and excited showing off their birthday presents, exploring holiday destinations, even attending a friend's wedding.

The trouble is, it makes me sad that those days - when they were still little and discovering the world - came and went so quickly.

But it's nice to have these unexpected reminders of happy times.
