Pinnacles

Diving day one at Kinlochbervie: sailfish with some big kelp!

There was some BIG long wavelength swell rolling in with surge reaching down to 25m - so it wasn't good for photographing small things as I was constantly being pulled back, forwards, up, down, left and right! The water was pretty clear, and there is kelp down to 20m and beyond, and all the kelp waves around in the swell too - its a pretty dynamic environment!

We were dived two different pinnacles that come up to about 5m, just to the north-west of the entrance to Loch Inchard. Each drops off steeply to 30m or more.

Good fun.
