Exploded Tree

This was a healthy and thriving tree until this week, when it appears that a bolt of lightning took exception to it. The explosion must have been something to behold - there are splinters some 8 feet long all round this and there is a split right through the tree all the way into the ground.

Lovely day out today - working in the garden in the City Of Bears, dinner in Die Sonne, and home to Demento Cat. Super.
