Everybody Loves Phil

Tonight was the final day of Edindocs 2011.

We were privileged to end the festival with a Q&A with Hollywood legend Phil Rosenthal, creator and writer of "Everybody Loves Raymond".

We had just hosted the UK premiere of his film "Exporting Raymond" which documents his trials and tribulations when the Russian TV execs call him over to help out with their attempts to mimic the show over there.

He was very entertaining and completely down to earth, switching his mike off, turning up the house lights and coming down from the stage to be amongst the audience and answer everyone's questions. Afterwards we got lots of pics together with him and his family who had all flown in from LA. His wife Monica Horan, who was also on the show and attended this evening, was also down to earth and had hugs for everyone!

A great end to a fantastic weekend of documentaries. Roll on 2012.
