Ann Anderson's gravestone

I'm in the process of documenting and photographing all the gravestone in my local graveyard (in West Linton). Today it was the time for this one. And I was rather taken aback to find the following epitaph on the stone:

exemplar as a wife
devoted as a mother
dutiful as a daughter
beloved as a sister
faithful as a friend.

Spend the rest of the day wondering what you would need to do to be considered: exemplar as a wife?!
