The boys are back in town

16 years of heartache ended in a couple of crazy minutes. Four points down with seven minutes remaining. Then the goal, the rest is a haze and then up steps the Dublin goalkeeper, Stephen Cluxton to swing over the winning point. Ice cool in the cauldron.

All the pain, heartache and near misses consigned to the bin. I was at Croke Park back in 83 when we beat Galway with only twelve players. But yesterday was the sweetest of the lot.

Dublin came home today with the Sam Maguire after a thriller against Kerry. Winning by a point, makes it all the sweeter. A great day for us Dubs and a whopper of a hanogover to boot.

What a weekend of sport....incredible.
