Wood

Gorgeously sunny day so had a trip out with J9 to see some work we have wanted to visit for a while.

Quite a nerve racking exhibition to visit. Its a large installation by Aenaes Wilder that comprises 10,000 uniform pieces of wood arranged in a huge circle with one narrow opening to walk through.

None of the pieces of wood are glued or fixed together, just painstakingly laid on top of each other by hand ... apparently if just one piece is knocked its like a house of cards! What does sound fun though is that the end of the exhibition the artists holds a 'Kick down Event' which kind of explains itself.
