Funny Little Orchid Dude

I stopped at Trader Joe's on the way home today to pick up some Lacie's Cookies and a few other things. Lacie's Cookies are one of the basic food groups in our house. They are scrumptious.

Well, on the way in I saw this little fellow. Arvin loves orchids and these little guys don't show up very often so I put it in my cart. When I got home I gave Arvin a little gift. He was pleased.

This is a Paphiopedilum. They are also known as Lady-Slippers. I really love their faces when you look at them up close.
