At The Break of Day

I couldn't resist this shot on my way to work this morning. Just before the main dual carriageway I stopped near what was the Birchwood Hotel.

The hotel briefly featured in the film The Fourth Protocol with Pierce Brosnan way back in 1987. disused, the hotel mysteriously caught fire and was destroyed, some time before a petrol station was built on the same site. A new Holiday Inn hotel has been now built next to the petrol station, but it has remained empty for more than a year thanks to a dispute of some sort.

There is however a very good farm shop just along the road, it is fully open and the glorious morning sun is shining on it. Do pay them a visit if you're in the area.
