Waiting In The Castle

Waiting for Slant, P and his son F, in the Killiney Castle Hotel, somewhere we meet every couple of weeks (a pub in Bray is our other haunt). Pleasantly old world and genteel, posh but laid back also, chintzy and slightly dowdy at the edges, admitting a comfort zone for the likes of ourselves. A non-alcoholic Becks, followed by tea and biscuits (the Champers in the bucket belonged to someone else).

What more could one ask for? We should have bought our slippers.
