The Secret Beach

Discovered the enchanting Carvalho Beach, accessed only by steps down through a long hole in the rock. Once down there are several caves, including this one, pictured looking out. The cliff face rises high above either side of the beach, creating a feeling of being hidden away - and O called it a 'secret beach' (though was pretty crowded when we were there). Very pretty beach, though the waves from the Atlantic came swirling in either side of the huge rock and creating huge breakers. So O could only paddle with a strong grip on our hands, as swimming was pretty challenging, even for adults.
