Autumn tints

Cotinus coggyria is a beautiful shrub for most of the year but in autumn it really comes into its own, turning beautiful shades of red and orange. This is the variety 'Royal Purple' caught by the rays of the late afternoon sun. It contrasts beautifully with the Choisya ternata 'Sundance' behind.

Spent the day filling and preparing skirting boards in the hallway where oak flooring was fitted while I was away in Scotland. It looks great...

For the record: 20C with sunny spells and they say that we're to get a bit of Indian summer this week.
