Grey Mare

Today we went to an open day at a racing yard in Northamptonshire.

All the horses were paraded in front of a knowledgeable audience, that included current owners, potential owners, friends and other hangers-on (us!)

Then there was a garden party atmosphere with wine and delicious canapes.

Having left home in balmy sunshine I was surprised by the overcast weather and stong cool wind.

This was my favourite shot of the day. This beautiful thoroughbred mare stood stock still looking at the sheep in the distance.
