Violet and White Chocolate Macaroons

This morning I took little chef to school and when I left I said to her that I would make her some purple biscuits today at which her face lit up. Then I said they would be macaroons and her face dropped. Seems like she's not keen on violet!

I made them anyway and they turned out quite lovely. I read a tip in a book yesterday where it said to pour some cold water under the baking paper to get them off after they have been cooked. Normally they stick really bad but with the water under the paper they came off so easy. So if you like making macaroons and they always stick, water is your solution!
