FaceBook Connection

I've been too busy most of the day to take a peek at FaceBook to get a report on how our friend, Tim, is doing. He was having major surgery today. Little over a month ago the doctors decided that he had a cancerous tumor on his esophagus, and said it was nothing to worry about except that it is one of the most difficult parts of the body to get to in surgery. So today's surgery was going to take hours.

Tim and his family lived here in our community for 20+ years before they moved to Tucson, Arizona, in the early 1990s. Several years ago when he retired, he and his wife moved to Las Vegas because both of their grown daughters and all their grandchildren were living there.

So we most likely won't get to visit Tim while he is in the hospital in Las Vegas, but it is truly good to check into FaceBook every few hours to look for the latest update of his condition. He looks like a total goober in this photo, but his daughters were having a blast uploading a couple photos of him prior to surgery . . . everyone kidded about "the hat," and especially that it matched the hospital gown.
