Don't be fooled...

... by that patch of blue sky!! Mist and strong winds, mugginess and drizzle and very low pressure, headache inducing weather. Drove to school and a spot of blue sky miraculously appeared! I was out of the car like a whippet, practically got blown away and the hair is beyond repair, but by the time I got to school five minutes later all trace of blue had disappeared and has not been seen since.

Apart from that, a fairly uneventful day. Still slowly putting the garden to bed. Dug over the squash bed and gave it a quick dig. Tomorrow I'll cover it with old cardboard to keep the weeds down till next Spring.

The film last night, Beginners, was excellent. A slow, gentle and thoughtful look at relationships - family, lovers, friends. Strong performances from Ewan McGregor as the young man afraid to commit, and Christopher Plummer as the 'gay senior'!!! And a very beautiful young French actress whose name I've forgotten. Definitely worth seeing.
