Life through the lens...

Big Wheels!

Had a great day in York.
Everyone happy and smiling, making the most of this late Summer we are now having!!

Cooled down in The Railway Museum for a couple of hours.
He loves this place!! (Well he was 13 when he used to go trainspotting back in the 50's !!) must admit I quite enjoyed it too!
Took loads of shots but chose this one because I like the colour of the red wheels against the black paint.

In 1935, 24 of these huge trains were ordered by the Chinese government.
Built at the Vulcan foundry at Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire.

In 1981 this one was a gift to museum from the people of China.

Now everything is made in China and comes here.
How things change!

Hope you like it, and hope you were all able to enjoy the great weather as we did.
