Bruises, Theft and Convienience

On collecting Baby I had to sign an accident form as he had banged his head when falling off the toddler bike. No doubt he was trying to show off his skills in front of the girls again or trying to make them laugh. Anyway he has ended up with a rather large bump on his forehead that is bruising nicely.

So once we got Toddler on board we headed on out in the glorious sunshine to see what we would see. We popped to some shops on the way to the libary. Once at the libary and settled I ordered a coffee from the cafe. Whilst I was paying Toddler announced out loud from the childrens section "I need a poo".

Although Toddler made a very sucessful change to big girl pants quite some time ago she still has the odd urgent accident and so we have to keep on our toes. After throwing a load of coins at the waitress I grabbed both little ones and the changing bag and headed for the convieniences for a false alarm, it was just a number one. The new libary is really good and modern though I am unsure why they struggle to have any toilet paper in there, we tried three of the loos to find some.

After picking up my coffee and change we read lots of books before we decided we should be out in the sunshine. On the way to the Common we popped in a charity shop that has a good toy section. Baby was in the buggy and so I handed him some strange Disney toy to look at whilst Toddler looked at all the other toys. It was obviousley a bit exciting for her as she made the announcment again and this time she looked much more serious. I scooped her up and charged to the department store accross the road, crashed the buggy into the stores cafe sign on the way in then had to mess around with the rubbish lifts before eventually getting to the facilities, which for some reason had completely wet floors. All that and it was a bit of a non-event again.

It was at this point I looked at Baby and saw that he had commited his first crime. The toy from the charity shop was still in his hands. So at the age of one he did his first bit of shoplifting. Rather ashamed I headed back to the shop apologised for the boy and paid them some money. They simply laughed and a voice from the back room said that it happens all the time. I decided to give him and myself a mild caution anyway.

After a quick trip to the aquarium we headed to meet friends at the beach. The weather was incredible, its hard to believe it is days away from October. Baby very much enjoyed playing Hasslehoff in his new shirt. Anyway not long after, Toddler announced again. So Baby was left on lifeguard duty whilst Toddler and I again headed to the facilities. We came back to the group smiling with success and considerably lighter.
