Brutalism: Stereo Reality Environment

I made another visit to Tate Modern today after my work meeting and this 2007 installation by Jose Carlos Martinat caught my eye as it churned out a little fortune-cookie sized piece of paper.

The caption reads:

"This sculpture is a scale model of the Peruvian military headquarters, an example of 'brutalist' architecture nicknamed the 'Pentagonito' (little Pentagon). During the Fujimori presidency the building became notorious for the tortures, murders and disappearances conducted by the secret service. The scultpure incorporates a computer which has been programmed to search for references to 'Brutalismo / Brutalism' picking up extracts about Latin American and global dictatorships but also on architecture, which it spits out onto the gallery floor".
