Peach Chutney

That is what I did today, made peach chutney to get us through the winter with our favorite steamed vegetables and tofu on rice. It was a gorgeous day and kind of dumb to be in the kitchen doing this, but it is done. And the bills are organized as well!

However, I wished I had my camera for a photo of this morning's dawn. It was extraordinary. The water was calm, the scullers and rowers were scarce. But most notable was the early light so full of promise. Having promise is a nice way to think about a day.
