Emergency services open day

All our local emergency services put on an Open Day in Kendal this afternoon. There were demos of a road traffic collision from police, ambulance and fire brigade. The photo shows a river rescue with a combined fire, Kendal mountain rescue and Bay rescue team
"rescuing" 3 people from the river Kent. Then the delectable Paulina was rescued from the 5th floor of the fire tower.

There was plenty going on elsewhere with information, climbing wall (my daughter had to be rescued from it by a fireman!), emergency vehicles to sit on or in. My kids had great fun setting off police car siren.

A fun an educational afternoon for all. Well done to all the services involved.
