What's a downpour or two little rain between friends? The rest of Britain might have been as hot as hell but I was soaked to the skin.

Today people of all and no faiths, unionised and non-union, young and old marched together through Glasgow. Around 15,000 people from all over Scotland came together to tell all politicians that enough is enough - they have to put people and communities first.

We ended up at Kelvingrove Park and due to the poor weather the speeches were curtailed however Tony Benn gave an amazing speech. Well into his 80s & suffering poor health he was inspirational, succinct and the best orator I've ever heard.

Some people went on to fringe meetings but I headed off to see my parents. Home now & happy.
