Minimalism or just shite?

Ended up at Longniddry Bents today, looking to get the tide coming in over the boat wreck. It was foggy on the Forth so I fancied some long exposure with no background distractions with the fog. In an example of spectacularly bad timing I arrived to find that the tide had just crossed over the wreck, had I been 20 minutes earlier it would have been perfect.

Still, might as well make the most of it. Any shots were always going to be mono conversions, the entire scene looked monochrome anyway. With the fog there was nothing at all in the background so I went for the minimalist approach, this is a longer shot of the tip of the wreck, 90s exposure. Too minimalist?
