Waterfoot Sunrise

Fishing Boats

The journey back down the road was pretty wet and windy although it did brighten up as we got to Tarbert. After collecting our paper I nipped down to the harbour for a quick blip before the setting sun disappeared behind another cloud.

The fishing boats haven't featured before so here are a few of them with some yellow lichen covered rocks in the foreground. The boat on the left had just arrived and was at the end of the harbour trying to fix some kind of problem with its trawling gear. The boats that are left are much more industrial and scruffy looking than the old herring boats, which were always kept neat and tidy and are fondly remembered by locals and tourists alike.

Within seconds of blipping the sun was gone and the clouds built up again. Such is the weather here in Kintyre!
