The Viaduct

The Viaduct in Seattle is a famous double decked section of Hiway 99, and was damaged in the 2001 Nisqually earthquake. Most of us still drive it as the views of Puget Sound and downtown Seattle out your east or west car window are incredible. And it is often a very fast way to get from north to south or vice versa and by pass the city traffic.

This is looking east while driving north. I realized I may not be on it again before it closes as the city and state combined are scheduled to take it down and build a tunnel. I have always hoped to be able to walk it and hope that this is allowed after it closes to cars and before it is demolished.
