Out of time

Plants are doing odd things in Britain this year. This is Pilosella aurantiaca, commonly known as fox and cubs, devil's paintbrush, Flora's paintbrush, golden mouse ear, Grim-the-collier, missionary weed, orange-flowered hawkweed or red daisy, in flower in October in my garden in the South of England. Normally it would have gone to seed months ago.
