37 years of glasses and contact lenses no more

Tomorrow is the big day when I get my eyes laser corrected. I remember getting glasses at 13 and enduring them until I could afford contact lenses in the early 80's when you had to clean them every night, and soft lenses let alone daily disposables were not around.

So good-bye to all that faff. I'm really looking forward to being able to wake up in the morning and being able to see what time it is without scrabbling for glasses.

But I'm not looking forward to having lasers first cut off a flap of eyeball and then burn off a bit especially as you can see it all happening so to speak right in front of your eyes
