Shaggy Ink Cap

I came back from walking the spaniel this morning without finding any new fungi but then noticed, on the roadside verge outside my neighbour's house, this Shaggy Ink Cap (sometimes called the Lawyer's Wig). It must have been there for several days because its started to deliquesce. I don't know how I missed it before - I guess I must switch off when I'm almost home and simply don't register what's right in front of me.
