Marooned On Calton Hill.

Caught out during an almighty deluge on a cycle around town, I saught shelter in the lee of the City Observatory's walls as Edinburgh was rain-blasted beneath me.

After a thirty minute preview of winter, I caught sight of an evanescent rainbow's brief shimmer over Leith Walk; that was enough to tell me that the coast was clear, and I could make for the warmth and shelter of home.
