Holding on

This is the sort of picture that probably is thought to say something about the dark recesses of the mind. It doesn't, honestly. It actually says 'emergency blip in the rain'. This was only time we went out today, for sausages and red wine. What a combination! Looking forward to it already.

We spent most of the day doing much needed DIY including what felt like hours using the jig saw. Doubtless much to the chagrin of our neighbours above and below. Anyway, the banging and crashing got the rugby results, neither of which pleased either of us, out of the system and brought some much needed order to the flat (this all stems from the need to replace the fridge freezer). I was mainly the carpenter's assistant and did much work with piles of sawdust and a dustpan and brush. I encouraged him to blip his handiwork but for reasons which I don't understand he preferred some raindrops.

It's never stopped. All day. No wonder we are reduced to blipping it.

This time last year I was just arriving in Sarajevo, for my first visit. A significant moment.
