Cabbage Trees

Cordyline australis, a native of New Zealand and a member of the Agave family.

As I feared there was a treacherous frost this morning. It was already dawn when I woke and I had to go out straight away to spray the fruit trees with water. By the time I'd finished there was a rosy glow over the land. The mountains were magnificent with fresh snow. However, there is a limit to what I'll suffer for a blip. I had my early morning cup of tea first before defrosting my car and going off for a shot of the mountains.

I took this a few steps along the road from where this was taken.
