Hoover Dam

...is on the Nevada Arizona border

We went there to get out of the madness that is Vegas for a few hours

I must admit, I wasn't prepared for the epic scale of the dam, or the canyon that the water flows into.
The cars and the people walking across the dam can only hint at how immense this thing is.
Behind it, Lake Meade winds through the rocks on either side

Next time, I'll take a wide angle lens

....1 millionth scale
