Tantallon

We went to Tantallon Castle today and we were allowed to take the dogs in too, which was a bonus. It's set in such a beautiful place with spectacular views including Bass Rock. I must have taken about 20-ish photos but thought this one would be my blip as I like the view through to the sea and the stonework.

'The ruins of Tantallon Castle, spectacularly situated on a promontory above the Forth Estuary, were once home to one of Scotland's mightiest families - the 'Red' Douglases, earls of Angus. It was from Tantallon that they pursued their vendetta against their rivals, the 'Black' Douglases; from here too that they defied kings James IV and James V.'
