Nice evening

Well, they say it is going to get much colder soon. Today has been quite nice though and it was warm enough to go out without a coat. I'm not looking forward to the cold coming as it make my pain so much worse.

We've decided to experiment this year and go without the storage heaters this year (if possible) and just use halogen heaters and the small oil-filled electric radiators with thermostats. The storage heaters are so inefficient. The place gets too hot in the morning and then we still need additional heat later on, so we'll try and see how much cheaper it is with them off. We are quite impressed with the halogen heaters. Even on one 400 watt bar it is surprisingly effective. They insulated the whole block during the summer and it is supposed to make a difference. So far we've not really noticed it, but I guess we'll see.
