Frighten(ed/ing) Frog

This frog was blocking my way to the gate as I left for work this morning.

It was frightened, whilst I found it frightening.

So I had to be brave and walk slowly past it. The picture is taken from 5' away, I was not getting closer in case it moved.

The way they move on land seems so out of control that I always expect them to jump into me.

Being held hostage at home by a frog does not sound like much of an excuse for being late does it?
