Aurora Borealis

This morning the northern lights were at it again. I got up at three this morning to capture them... far too early!

They were extremely faint to the naked eye - just very light pulses of white above the mountains to the north - but with the aid of the trusty D40, you can see their true green color. I left the D40 out for 30 minutes to capture the stars and the northern lights. Totally out of focus... Damn tiredness! I couldn't tell at the time. Oh well.
