Dinner - or a gift?

Terns were very busy today, this one was quite funny - it had caught this fish and took it back and offered it to another bird, which didn't accept it - flew off came in again tried again, still no luck, went round a third time still no luck - so it threw back its head and ate the fish itself!!

I chose this image as it is really hard to get a light in the eye of these birds I've found, they have a very wide field of view so they can see you and check you out without turning their heads, and their eyes are so dark, and surrounded by dark feathers.

Will be away for 3 days but will check your journals Monday and back blip too all the best for the weekend - cheers
